New York artist Rob Pruitt has created many awesome portraits. The most iconic ones to me are the images of Panda bears. His current solo show at Gavin Brown's gallery that I must visit also has some great self-portraits as well as portraits of his friends from facebook made into a big quilt.

My Usual Meals
BREAKFAST
Waffles with abundant berries, creme fraiche, and maple syrup
It's quite rear to have all these different type of berries on the same day. I have blueberries, raspberries, blackberries and strawberries on the same plate....quite luxury.
LUNCH
I didn't make. It's Japanese dish, Una-Don (Eal over rice)
I feel fortunate to have a Japanese supermarket nearby where I can pick up to-go meal like this. I ordered a side of miso soup too but not pictured.
DINNER
Bucatini with anchovy walnut sauce, and saute beet greens and a glass of red wine.
This is weekday dinner. Something quick and satisfying.

Tin is for Tenth
Tin is for tenth anniversary, so I gave a tintype photo session as gift to ourselves...that was back in April. The photo is done on actual tin.
Each photo was taken one at a time, like polaroid except it's not instant, so once a shot was done, the plate got processed in darkroom and then come in this box of water, then start shooting again for the next plate, imagine a lot of waiting around in between darkroom processing. That session took almost 6 hours....the light was getting darker and darker towards the evening.
Here tin plates have to be in water to cure, before they are set.
The lens is an antique but the whole camera was re-built with some new some antique parts.
